Delivering to a 3PL or prep center

Most commercial delivery issues come from one thing

  • Appointment and receiving requirements were not confirmed early

If you are delivering port/CFS → warehouse, confirm these items before requesting delivery

What to confirm with your warehouse

Ask for these details

  • Is an appointment required
  • Receiving hours and time zone
  • Reference numbers required on paperwork
  • Pallet requirements
    pallet type, wrap, max height
  • Label requirements
  • Whether they accept loose cartons or require pallets
  • Late fee policy and redelivery risk

Why this matters

If the truck arrives without correct appointment details

  • The warehouse may refuse the delivery
  • The carrier may charge redelivery fees
  • You may incur storage while rebooking

How port-to-door coordination helps

If you select port-to-door coordination (commercial only), I coordinate

  • Delivery scheduling and appointment requirements
  • Confirmation of receiving instructions
  • Delivery status updates through confirmed delivery
